Arsenal injury news and return dates amid positive Thomas Partey update...

Arsenal injury news - All the latest fitness updates regarding the Gunners following Sunday's Premier League victory over Man United, with the international break offering a chance to get some players back.

Arsenal secured a huge 3-1 victory over Manchester United on Sunday afternoon thanks to two stoppage-time goals.

Declan Rice and Gabriel Jesus both netted late on to secure the Gunners all three points in a hugely entertaining Premier League clash at the Emirates Stadium. Mikel Arteta's side won the match without summer signing Jurrien Timber and holding midfielder Thomas Partey, both of whom are currently out injured.

So, with that said, football.london has rounded up the latest injury news from north London as the ongoing international break offers a chance for both players to continue their rehabilitation process,

Thomas Partey

The Ghana FA confirmed on Saturday afternoon that Partey had sustained a groin problem during a training session on Thursday, a major blow to Arteta. It remains to be seen how long the 30-year-old will be on the sidelines for.

According to the Daily Mail, Arsenal hope Partey will be available after the October international break.

What the Ghana FA have said: "He sustained a groin injury during training on Thursday, August 31, 2023. He is currently unavailable as Club Doctors predict he's likely to be out for a couple of weeks."

What Mikel Arteta has said: "I don't know. Unfortunately he got injured in training. It doesn't look good. I believe he'll be out for a few weeks. It's more a groin."

Jurrien Timber

He was in attendance for the game against Man United. football.london spoke to Timber post-match where the 22-year-old was still using the aid of two crutches to move about.

Asked how he was feeling with his recovery, a swift, "good, good" was the response. He will be sorely missed, especially with the club failing to find a suitable replacement in the summer transfer window.

What Arteta has said: "Huge blow. Especially for him after just joining the club. To have the injury he has is a huge blow. We recruited him with clear intentions and what he was bringing to the team was evident, but he's not going to be able to do it this season. We have to adapt. These things happen, unfortunately, and we have to move on."

Mohamed Elneny

The midfielder suffered a serious knee injury in January, which sidelined him for the remainder of last season. There has been little news regarding his recovery and a possible return date is currently unclear.
