Liverpool target flies to England to finalise deal as An agreement between Liverpool and the player is said to be close, and his agent will hope to agree the final details of the deal today...

Liverpool transfer news: Jürgen Klopp's side has reportedly reached an agreement with Ryan Gravenberch, while the Reds may lose out on an attacking signing.
At 11pm UK time on Friday night, the Premier League transfer window will shut, and Liverpool manager Jürgen Klopp may feel a sense of relief.

It's no doubt been an exhausting summer for the Reds boss, who's been trying to conduct a much-needed midfield rebuild all while trying to stabilize things amid the shock exits of captain Jordan Henderson and stalwart Fabinho.

From next week onwards, he'll be able to focus solely on the on-field side of things, and he won't be addressing the matter of incomings and outgoings in every single press conference.

However, he also knows he won't be able to make any more transfers until January 1, so he needs to make sure he uses the remaining time wisely to assemble a squad that's ready to compete.

Liverpool has signed three new players this summer —Alexis Mac Allister, Dominik Szoboszlai and Wataru Endō— and is still hopeful of adding a fourth in the form of Ryan Gravenberch, but deadline day is renowned for its dramatic twists.

Ryan Gravenberch (Bayern Munich)
Liverpool has agreed personal terms with Bayern Munich midfielder Ryan Gravenberch as it hopes to seal the signing, according to the Daily Mail.

The Reds still need to thrash out a fee with Bayern, and while they hope $45m (£35m/€41m) will be enough, Bayern's pursuit of Fulham's João Palhinha could be key.

Thomas Tuchel's side is currently prepared to pay $66m (£52m/€61m) for Palhinha, who wants the move to the Allianz Arena, but the Cottagers are demanding $89m (£70m/€82m).

Liverpool's home shirt for the 2023/2024 campaign pays homage to Bill Shankly and the legendary Reds manager's final season in charge at Anfield. The Nike shirt features a bright red design with a bold white contrast on the colour and cuffs.

Johan Bakayoko (PSV)
Brentford is set to win the race to sign Liverpool transfer 'target' Johan Bakayoko from PSV Eindhoven, according to Fabrizio Romano. The Bees are said to be 'closing in' on a deal and are ready to submit an official worth $43m (£34m/€40m), inclusive of add-ons but sweetened by a sell-on clause.

Dutch journalist Rik Elfrink reported that Liverpool was among the sides interested in snapping up the right winger, but it now looks set to lose out. A move elsewhere was always more likely.
