Jurgen Klopp refused to be drawn on more speculation that Mohamed Salah could still leave Liverpool in the wake of Sunday's enthralling 2-1 win over Newcastle.
The Reds were already 1-0 down courtesy of a slick finish from Anthony Gordon when they were reduced to 10 men following a cynical challenge from Virgil van Dijk on Alexander Isak. The Liverpool captain, who was the last man, was shown a straight red by referee John Brooks for denying a clear goalscoring opportunity.
But Klopp's charges stayed in the game and hit back with two goals from Darwin Nunez - the second in added on time - to pinch all three points against the odds.
The build-up to the match had been dominated by speculation over Salah's future. The Egyptian winger has become the latest high-profile player to be targeted by the Saudi Pro League with Al-Ittihad keen on snaring the forward's signature.
Klopp made it clear that he had no concerns about losing Salah before next week's transfer deadline - and he reiterated that, in his view, the matter has been put to bed after he was asked about further speculation by Sky Sports.
When it was put to him that the Salah story "hadn't gone away", the German hit back bluntly: "For me, it has," before bringing his interview to an end.
Despite Klopp's attempts to talk down a deal earlier this week, reports in Saudi Arabia over the weekend claimed that Salah would complete a medical with Al-Ittihad after Sunday's match. It remains to be seen if the Saudi Pro League outfit will test Liverpool's resolve before the deadline with a blockbuster transfer offer.
