Confirm LFC New sign £30m very close as Fabrizio Romano confirm Liverpool are working to complete the deal on Friday...

In Liverpool’s latest search for another midfielder, The Reds could change their scope to Brazil with heavily linked Fluminense midfielder, Andre.
The Reds have already acquired very forward-thinking and creative midfielders, but despite adding Wataru Endo to the ranks, it’s time to focus on the Fabinho-sized hole to fill.

This week on Transfer Insight, Dan has a chat with Brazilian reporter, Emmanuel Luiz about the potential move for Andre.

Emanuel said: “Manchester United went to Andre’s camp to talk with them about a possible negotiation… What they said was [Andre] had personal terms agreed with Liverpool.

“Andre said I want to go to Liverpool. Liverpool said they will talk to Fluminense after the window closes… done deal. Liverpool wants to close the deal in the first week of September.

“Fluminense wants to sell their share of the player but they want 20% of a sell-on clause. If Liverpool waits until after [international call-up], his market value will increase.”

It seems that The Reds will wait until January to obtain Andre’s services from Fluminense. Doing so will only increase the noise around getting another midfielder for now’s problems, however, sharing similar stylistic traits to Manuel Uguarte, a player previously admired by many among the fanbase, the 22-year-old Brazilian ticks plenty of boxes moving forwards and with Thiago likely to leave next summer, this could be an early answer.

With the defensive midfielder adamantly wanting the move, and while having impressive defensive stats, he may be just what the team needs to push on past January.

The Reds signed Wataru Endo last week and they could follow that up with a move to sign Andre although it will be difficult to sign the Brazilian this summer.

Fluminense are adamant they do not want to sell him until the January transfer window by which point their season will be concluded.

Liverpool are willing to offer €30 million plus bonuses to complete a move to sign Andre but will not be able to sign the midfielder until the winter transfer window opens.

Liverpool agree personal terms with Andre ahead of Manchester United

He said: “Manchester United went to Andre’s camp to talk with them about a possible negotiation… What they said was [Andre] had personal terms agreed with Liverpool.

“Andre said I want to go to Liverpool. Liverpool said they will talk to Fluminense after the window closes… done deal. Liverpool wants to close the deal in the first week of September.

Andre is an exciting player and fits the club's recruitment profile to a tee although they rarely recruit straight from South America due to work permit complications.

Would Andre solve Jurgen Klopp's midfield headache?

Man Utd told Andre has agreed personal terms with Liverpool
Liverpool need another midfielder but if they need to wait until January for him to join, it's a risk that could jeopardize the entire season.

The need for midfielders has been clear for over a year now and if this summer ends with only three new players arriving despite Liverpool losing five senior midfielders, it will be difficult to defend the decision makers at Anfield.

Fans are hopeful that success can be found regardless of the signings completed this summer as the attacking players at the club have already showcased why they will be so dangerous this season.

The goal that Luis Diaz scored to make it 1-1 against Bournemouth was simply brilliant. While issues in midfield and defence remain, fans can feel secure in knowing Liverpool have arguably the best attackers in the Premier League.
