Nicolo Barella set to join Liverpool as he Accept a Transfer record deal of £1800k per-week with the Reds...

Liverpool has its first signing of the summer already wrapped up — but that’s only the start of what is set to be a busy few months.
Just over a week after the season came to an end for the Reds, they have their first new addition through the door, with Alexis Mac Allister’s signing having been officially confirmed by the club.

Neither party has disclosed the Argentine’s fee, although some reports have suggested it could be as low as $44m (£35m/€41m), as per Fabrizio Romano, representing what could already be the bargain of the summer.

Liverpool though will need more players to join Mac Allister in making the move to Anfield, with new sporting director Jörg Schmadtke having plenty of work to do following what has been a disappointing season on all fronts.

There’s no shortage of names for him to choose from, with a plethora of midfielders being linked to Liverpool at the moment. One of those will be very familiar to fans, while another — will be in action during Saturday’s Champions League final.

However, he has responded by making no attempt to force an exit from the San Siro. The 26-year-old - signed from Cagliari initially on-loan back in 2019 - still has three years left to run on his Inter Milan contract.

Since then, the 44-time Italian international has gone on to make 187 appearances for the club in all competitions - his most prolific campaign in front of goal coming last season. The news over his commitment to Inter will no doubt disappoint Klopp and a couple of Liverpool legends.
