✅CONFIRM : Arsenal now have plan to unveil "Double deal" as Kai Havertz become first summer signing as he arrive for medical test today...

Kai Havertz is edging closer to becoming Arsenal's first signing of the summer transfer window. The Gunners are said to be close to an agreement to sign Havertz from London rivals Chelsea.
According to The Athletic, a deal for the German international will cost Mikel Arteta £65million, £5million below the original £70million valuation. Personal terms have already been agreed upon meaning the 24-year-old could be announced as Arsenal's new forward soon.

With the Gunners seeking to form a squad capable of competing in both the Premier League and UEFA Champions League, the move will be viewed as a smart piece of business

Havertz's arrival will be one of many that is expected to play out at London Colney this summer. The club wants to complete their business early and before the trip to Germany in July, with moves for Declan Rice, Romeo Lavia and Jurrien Timber progressing.

The digit has not been worn at Arsenal since Matteo Guendouzi. It previously was held by Granit Xhaka in his opening two seasons at the club, as well as Kim Kallstrom, Marouane Chamakh and Sebastian Larsson.

Should Havertz's transfer to Arsenal be completed, he will be free to wear his preferred number ahead of the start of the 2023/24 season on Saturday August 12.
