Liverpool XI vs Chelsea: Confirm lineup, team news and injury latest for Premier League today...

Darwin Nunez is set to be recalled to the Liverpool starting line-up to face Chelsea tonight.
This trip to Stamford Bridge demands a quick turnaround for the Reds after the weekend defeat at Manchester City, with manager Jurgen Klopp explaining that he is yet to get a clear picture of his squad’s fitness condition.

Speaking on Monday morning, Klopp confirmed that Luis Diaz will not feature at Stamford Bridge.

The Colombian winger looked “outstanding” on his return from a long injury lay-off during the World Cup before a fresh setback, which means he will not play until next week at the earliest.

Thiago Alcantara is back in full training but will also miss the Chelsea game with a hip injury. Liverpool are set to be without Stefan Bajcetic, Calvin Ramsay and Naby Keita.

Klopp added that he had “no clue” which of his players will recover in time following the 4-1 loss at the Etihad Stadium, and that he will “wait as long as possible” before picking his line-up.

The Reds boss did, however, assert that there will “definitely” be changes.

Nunez is likely to return having been benched at City while Arthur Melo, Joel Matip, Roberto Firmino and Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain compete for a start.

Predicted Liverpool XI: Alisson; Alexander-Arnold, Konate, Van Dijk, Tsimikas; Fabinho, Henderson, Miller, Salah, Gakpo, Nunez.
