Man Utd 'reject offers for Mason Greenwood' with mindset said to have changed...

Manchester United have rejected offers for Mason Greenwood amid a change of the player's mindset over his return to football.
Mason Greenwood's attitude toward playing for Manchester United has reportedly changed during his lengthy suspension. And the Red Devils have fielded transfer offers for the 21-year-old as he prepares to return to football amid an internal investigation over his future.

Greenwood hasn't played for United since a 1-0 win against West Ham United at Old Trafford in January 2022. His last goal came in a 3-1 triumph away at Brentford. He was arrested 11 days later.

However, in February, the Crown Prosecution Service dropped the charges and discontinued proceedings due to the 'withdrawal of key witnesses and new material coming to light.'

It technically leaves Greenwood free to return to action. However, United are still weighing up whether he has a future at Old Trafford, considering moral and sporting aspects of a potential decision.

The Athletic report that United have received offers from clubs in Turkey to take Greenwood on while the club's investigation is ongoing.

But the M16 giants turned those approaches away as they forge a plan of action to integrate the England international into Erik ten Hag's squad or part ways with a player they have developed since he was a boy.

Greenwood was thrust into the first-team picture as an 18-year-old by Ole Gunnar Solskjaer and quickly became an important forward due to a lack of options.

And it's claimed that he would often have to be reminded about his discipline as he showed signs of immaturity after becoming a sensation overnight.

However, The Athletic add that it's believed the troubling ordeal has changed Greenwood's perception of what it means to play for United.

Whether Greenwood will get the chance to wear the famous red shirt again remains to be seen, with sponsors and some of the women's team reportedly expressing concerns over his potential return.

But over a year since his last United appearance, he seems ready to make a comeback at Old Trafford or elsewhere.
