Arsenal XI vs Aston Villa: lineup, confirmed team - Full Arsenal squad for Villa clash as Mikel Arteta includes Trossard

Mikel Arteta could have Emile Smith Rowe available for his starting line-up in today’s trip to Aston Villa as Arsenal wait on two key injury returnees.
Smith Rowe has been out since the end of January with the issue, having previously being on the sidelines since September as a result of a groin problem.

The 22-year-old was due to train on Friday and, if he comes through, he could be in the squad to face Villa in the early kick-off on Saturday.

“Emile is training today, if he’s fine he’ll be in the squad,” said Arsenal manager Mikel Arteta.

Arsenal are expected to be without Thomas Partey, who missed the defeat to Manchester City with a back problem.

The midfielder was being assessed on Friday but it was unlikely that he will be risked for the trip to Villa.

That means Jorginho should start in midfield and Ben White is pushing to come in at right-back for Takehiro Tomiyasu.

Leandro Trossard could also come in on the left flank for Gabriel Martinelli, who has not scored since New Year’s Eve.

Predicted Arsenal XI (4-3-3): Ramsdale; White, Saliba, Gabriel, Zinchenko; Odegaard, Jorginho, Xhaka; Saka, Nketiah, Trossard.
