Fabrizio Romano confirms Liverpool want Jude Bellingham and £44m-rated midfielder

Liverpool want to sign Borussia Dortmund midfielder Jude Bellingham and Wolves' Matheus Nunes this summer, according to transfer guru Fabrizio Romano.
Jurgen Klopp's side are in dire need of midfield reinforcements and have chased Bellingham for a while now, while their interest in Nunes is also well-documented - having explored a deal to sign the Portuguese international before his move to Wolves last summer.

As cited by Anfield Watch's Twitter account, Fabrizio Romano confirmed to a YouTube channel named Born and Red that Liverpool are interested in signing both Bellingham and Nunes this summer.

“Jürgen Klopp is obsessed with the Jude Bellingham transfer and is making calls every single day.

“Liverpool are really really pushing for Jude Bellingham and are having contact on the players' side and with Borussia Dortmund. Liverpool want Jude Bellingham and Matheus Nunes."

According to Sky Sport journalist Florian Plettenberg, Bellingham could cost €150m this summer, while The Telegraph revealed earlier this month that Nunes has a price tag of around £44m.

Not much needs to be said about Jude Bellingham, who is widely regarded as one of the best midfielders in world football despite being just 19 years old. The former Birmingham City midfielder enhanced his reputation with a string of magnificent displays at the 2022 FIFA World Cup for England as he played a major role in the centre of the park for Three Lions boss Gareth Southgate. For Borussia Dortmund, Bellingham has been the star of the show this season with ten goals and four assists across all competitions.

Matheus Nunes, on the other hand, has blown hot and cold since his record-breaking move to Wolves last summer. However, it has been reported that Liverpool have an agreement in place with Wolves and super-agent Jorge Mendes to snap up the Portuguese international for a £44m fee this summer, so this is definitely one worth keeping an eye on.
